Info and tips for pigs in a blanket

This recipe is known for its straightforwardness but I do have a few tips!

First I like to buy either a sheet of puff pastry, or if they’re available- Pillsbury’s sausage wraps. I like to cut them into triangles to make it easier to roll up and to give it a croissant like look. You can usually find mini sausages in the grocery store beside all the regular sized hot dogs and sausages. Some other names they might be called is cocktail sausages, mini hotdogs, or little smokies depending on where you live.

I also like to brush with some egg wash to get the tops nice and brown and shiny, then after baking brush the tops with garlic butter for some yummy extra flavour.

Equipment

I like to use these Stainless Steel Sheet Pans for the pigs in a blanket.

I use these Silicone Brushes to brush the egg wash and garlic butter on top.
