Boston Pizza copycat bugs and cheese is my attempt at remaking my most favourite restaurant childhood meal. It features fun bug shaped pasta in a creamy cheesy basic white sauce.

Info and tips for Boston Pizza copycat bugs & cheese

In this recipe we are making a basic white sauce. A white sauce is also known as bΓ©chamel sauce, and usually always has three ingredients: butter, four, and milk. We are also gonna add some cheese to add a boost of flavour. Basically this sauce is your normal mac and cheese sauce. Couple tips for the roux (flour and butter): don’t over cook it, the more you brown your roux the less thickening power it will have. I usually only cook mine for 1-2 minutes before adding the milk slowly while whisking.

The bug shaped pasta can be hard to find. I found mine at my local Bulk Barn.

I used the Our Place Everything Pan for this recipe. The sauce didn’t stick at all, and overall I’ve been enjoying using it.
