Tomato Butter Garlic Cheese Bread

Im convinced that garlic cheese bread is one of the best creations ever. I wanted to add a little twist to the classic, so in this recipe you’ll see that I add tomato paste. This garlic cheese bread has the perfect amount of tangy tomato with lost of garlic and of course cheese pulls. I totally made this for my supper and had no regrets πŸ˜‰

Info and Tips

This recipe is pretty straight forward. I only have a couple tips:

First make sure your butter is at room temperature. Or if you’re impatient like me, just throw it in the microwave for ten-ish seconds. That way it’ll be so much easier to spread onto your bread.

Secondly, make sure you spray or grease the parchment paper on your baking sheet. I’ve forgotten to do this multiple times and end up burning the bottom of the bread. I baked the cheese breads first for a few minutes and then broiled to get the cheese lightly golden and bubbly.

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • handful parsley
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • mozzarella
  • parmesan
  • sourdough
  • red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Mince your garlic. Make the compound butter by combining garlic, butter, parsley, and tomato paste.
  2. Slice the sourdough or your prefered choice of bread and spread the compound butter on top. Shred your cheese and add on top of the butter.
  3. Cook the cheese bread on a greased parchment paper sheet pan in the oven at 400 for 5-6 minutes, and then broil for 1-2 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  4. remove and add red pepper flakes and fresh parsley. Enjoy!
