Homemade hot chocolate is so much better than store bought. It’s incredibly rich, creamy, and easy to make with simple ingredients for the perfect cozy drink.
Info and tips for homemade hot chocolate
When making hot chocolate low and slow heat is best. If you bring the hot chocolate to a boil you risk scorching the milk and dulling the chocolate flavour. Make sure you whisk well and keep a constant eye on it as milk can boil over quickly! I also recommend adding some real chocolate to help make it even more silky and luxurious!
One of my favourite things about hot chocolate is the toppings! Homemade Whip Cream is obviously a must have, but you can also customize it with candy canes for a peppermint style hot chocolate, oreos for a cookies and cream moment, or some Nutella to add a rich hazelnut flavour! The options are endless and so much fun!
