Info and tips for hot honey halloumi pittas
Halloumi has an extremely high melting point which makes it perfect for grilling! All you have to do it make sure your pan or grill is lightly oiled to prevent sticking. I recommend grilling hot and fast- using a medium heat for 2-3 minutes each side. This will help you get that nice golden crust. Halloumi is best when served immediately!
Halloumi is very salty, so you don’t need any extra salt. If you do want to remove some of the saltiness, you can soak the slices in water for about 30 minutes. This will make the cheese softer and less salty.
