Creamy garlic gochujang pasta is definitely becoming one of my new favourite pastas to make. Itโs the perfect blend of spicy, salty, slightly sweet, with lots of umami.
Info and tips for creamy garlic gochujang pasta
I like to cook my pasta a little under al dente, then add it to the sauce and let it simmer for a couple minutes. This will help the sauce thicken from the pasta releasing its starch. If your sauce is still looking a little thin after your pasta is finished cooking, just let it sit off heat for a couple minutes. The sauce with thicken and start to stick to the noodles better.
Gochujang can be pretty spicy. I recommend using the mild version of gochujang for a lower heat level. Most grocery stores carry gochujang, but Asian grocery stores almost always have it. Gochujang and parmesan can be pretty salty, so make sure you taste test your sauce before adding any more salt.

I used my Our Place Pan to make the sauce!
