Info and tips for copycat cheddar bay biscuits
These biscuits can be made in one bowl with super basic ingredients you probably already have on hand. When you add the milk and cheddar to the dry ingredients and butter, be careful not to overmix. Overmixing biscuits will cause them to become tough, dense, and chewy instead of light and fluffy. To avoid this use a wooden spoon and gently fold together until combined.
When you add the dough to the baking pan, don’t try to compact or smooth them into perfect balls. Drop biscuits are meant to be irregular! This will give you those classic golden brown textured edges and fluffy insides.
Equipment

A solid heavy baking baking sheet pan will help you get the golden crispy bottoms.
