Spicy tuna sushi bake is one of my favourite meals to make when I’m pressed for time. This recipe features tender sushi rice layered with creamy spicy tuna, baked until golden and topped with avocado and green onion.
Info and tips for spicy tuna sushi bake
I like to use sushi rice for this recipe because it’s sticky and holds together well in the pan. If you don’t have sticky rice you can substitute it for regular rice, just keep in mind it won’t hold its shape as well when you create the layers.
If you don’t have canned tuna or maybe don’t like it, I’ve tried this recipe with canned crab, fake crab, and salmon, and all are just as delicious. You can also change up the toppings to whatever you’d like: I’ve baked it with cheese, added cucumber, or julienned carrots!
Equipment
I use this 8 Inch Glass Baking Dish for the sushi bake.
